1) SUBMISSION. “Take My yoke upon you.” Coupled together to him, under obligation The Christian willingly submits to Jesus Christ as Lord and Master. “It is not in man that walks to direct his own steps.” “Not my will but Thine be done.”

2) OBEDIENCE: “And learn of me.” The yoke suggests submission to a master who must be obeyed. Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

3) SERVICE: “My burden is light.” Compared to the burden of our own, the yoke of the Lord is easy. But the very idea of a yoke is that of pulling a load, of work, of service. Christians are to be ministers-servants. “Work for the night is coming.”

4) FELLOWSHIP: “All ye that labor.” We are not alone in Christ, but serving alongside those of like precious faith. Paul spoke of his “loyal yokefellow.” A yoke harnesses two animals together so as to pull a load neither one could pull alone. “Bear ye one another’s burdens.”

As we follow Christ, let us take up our yoke as well as our cross, “serving the Lord.”

Philippians 2:3
When David saw Goliath he didn’t stop to consider the odds or listen to the opinions of others. Instead, he “…ran quickly toward the battle…to meet him” (1 Sam 17:48 NIV). Rapid response is required here. When God prompts you to turn the other cheek or take the short end of the stick, draw on His grace and do it. In fact, when you do it on your timetable you end up doing it in your own strength.

So: (a) forgive those who hurt you; (b) pray for them; (c) bless them by speaking well of them and wanting only good things for them. Your commitment to walk each day in love and forgiveness (yes, it’s a daily commitment!) will open the door to God’s blessing in your life.

WOMEN CAN FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT:

2 Tim 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

The Apostle Paul compares Christians as a soldier, husbandman, sufferer, student, vessel, and a servant.

I have fought a good fight: Every Christian is going to have to fight there own spiritual battle. It may be there own fleshly desires, it may be a trial that God has to put them through, or it may be a trial that someone else puts you through. Regardless of the fight, you will come out victorious with your hands raised up in the air.

I have finished my course: The Apostle Paul said to “Walk by faith and not by sight.” Finishing what has been started is the key to our spiritual success. It’s not time to throw in the towel, but to stand up and take another step for Jesus.

I have kept the faith: Our faith is the one thing that no man can take away from us. It is tried on a daily basis, but faith has become imbedded in our hearts and will carry us through every physical and spiritual battle

SEED THOUGHT: Too many times loneliness, a feeling of being unloved or unwanted can consume our soul. We are not alone, Jesus is right there to lift us up. Women we can do it with faith in HIM!!!!
